Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

It's Dough Time!

We're making our first batch of sugar cookies for the season...come and join us!

First we pat it out and puff flour everywhere...

Then we roll it and roll it and...oh yes, smile for the camera!

And we have here Grandma "D" demonstrating the correct rolling pin form

Once it's pretty flat {and you're sugared-out from all the little snitches of dough that "happened" to escape}...

...start cutting them out with angels and stars and candlesticks, too!

Johanna here showing us the correct technique for perfect cut-out cookies.

How can you not smile when you're making sugar cookies?

Here's the half-way finished product! By the way, does this picture remind you of last year's cookie party?

Now it's time for yummy frosting-time!

Wonder why Dad isn't out here helping? One word...

...PINK!

The second-to-last step in this cookie-making demonstration is, of course, sprinkles...and lots of them!

The frosting-people trying to keep up with the sprinkle-people

Wonder where Grandma Lorry was throughout this process? Snoozin' ☺

Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! No, wait. We definitely enjoyed it more than you because we ate the finished product...and it was so good.

How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! {Psalm 119:103}
