As I lay resting, soft and low,
Upon this couch of peacefulness
Whose cushions ease this breath to slow,
Calm, heaving sighs of Noon's caress.
It's time for rest, rest soothing rest
It's time for rest, rest pillow-pressed.
My eyelids droop and hands relax
Into that realm of Napper's Pose;
On carefree, lulling, restful tracks
As Morn has passed and Eve draws close
It's time for rest, rest soothing rest
It's time for rest, rest pillow-pressed.
I lie here on a cloud-puff for
The sun is high, my eyes are low,
And dreams come swirling on my shore
Where only dreams can steer and row.
It's time for rest, rest soothing rest
It's time for rest, rest pillow-pressed.
"Good-afternoon," Sleep whispers, sweet,
As drowsy Noontide rushes me
Around this vessel, sailing fleet
The wind is warm and calm the sea.
It's time for rest, rest soothing rest
It's time for rest, rest pillow-pressed.
Noontide Rest

Miss K. Rose - you are quite the poet I must say.....how very lovely!!
Mrs. Linda, thank you for your kind words...I was looking online for the perfect poem or quote to go along with the pictures...looked all over the place for a couple hours then thought, "Well so much for that! I'll write my own!" haha...
