Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

Thanksgiving 2011

What a lovely time of fellowship and giving of thanks we had this season. Each and every year we realize more and more just how blessed we are with the sweet friends and families God has placed intentionally in our lives throughout the years, as well as the joy and peace of serving Him in the ways He wills and desires for us.

Happy belated Thanksgiving, dear friends!

(This is us girls at midnight, heading out to do some major Black Friday shopping...our first time...and last?)

Half a Decade Old

Our little sweet pea is now 5 big years old! We had a weekend of fun surprises in store for her, starting off with a jacuzzi bath, manicure and lovely curls by the sisters, then off to a tea room, shopping and a movie, and ending with a big kitchen set surprise.

We love you Johanna Joy!

Lately...

We've been doing some "major" fall raking

Yes, totally raking all the dirt, rocks and...oh! I think there were a few leaves down there as well.

Our grand garden has been enjoying its freedom from weedings and hand-plucking care...it's been doing its own thang

Our jungle of lovely morning glories...

...and a marigold popping its head out

The first cool day of the season, Dad and Jorgie Porgie had their cocoa on the swing

Grandma "D" and the Pink Thing enjoying the cooler October weather

Reading time on the deck! The Grandmas love to listen as Mom has been reading them numerous novels, most of which have been recommended from various friends...thanks!

Our crafty lil' lady spending her quiet time making words as Mom reads aloud

Vanessa and I were so blessed to take part in our first birth as doulas

Grandma Lorry, all dolled up for the evening

♫...The Pink Panther...
♪...Ev'rybody loves a panther that's pink...

Two goobers hanging out on the swing

Reading...and reading...and...oh! Reading!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Hope everyone else is having a wonderful day. Be blessed!
