Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

Autumn Medley ~ Part I

It's sad to think our lovely Fall season will be over and done with in less than a month! And although we have been as busy as ever we have also had time to truly enjoy these lovely, cool-weathered months.

The following few months of pictures will be divided into five parts and spread out a bit so I can squeeze other events in now and then (probably closer to *then* :). Enjoy!

Off to a wonderful concert...

A Piano Recital & IKEA

Johanna had her first piano recital a couple weeks ago and it was such a delight to watch! Our entire family was able to get out and about on this beautiful November day...

And on another beautiful day some of us headed out on our first trip to IKEA with an experienced family (the awesome T.s!)...

Mamacita's Birthday

October 9th was Mom's birthday and we sure did have fun! Food and gifts and concerts and pedicures and hotel getaways... but as always, I shall let the pictures do the speaking...

Breakfast in bed: Vanessa used donut holes to make these fun little acorns...

...aren't they adorable?

The Gwumpy plate face (he's supposed to be smiling, but it's rather difficult to curve a long john).

Then it was present time! Johanna LOVES present time :).

Followed by a delightful violin performance.

The table was prepared

Birthday bouquet

Mom's chosen dessert - Great Pumpkin Dessert!

I love this one!

Scrumptili-icious! (for some reason I can't find that word in the dictionary so the spelling may be incorrect :)

Chowin' down

How!

Happy smiles!

What was left...

We also celebrated by us girls going out for the day!
First stop - Jamba Juice!

Then we had lovely pedicures...

Johanna definitely has an outgoing personality.
She has made countless friends within seconds of meeting them!

Happy Birthday, Mamacita!!
We love, love, love you and are so grateful to have you as our mother and greatest role model!
