Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

That Time Again...

Thank you, Mrs. Linda for these beautiful poinsettias!!

Well ladies and gents, it's that time of year again; the time to roll up your sleeves, put on the apron, and get out the recipes!!  Last year we had loads of fun with the Grandmas, a makin' and a bakin' them good ol' seasonal goodies.  This year?  I'll post a few winter desserts every now and then (which means "when we get to making them and taking pictures of them").  Below are a few recent delicacies.

White Chocolate covered Pretzels

No-Bake Cookies

Wrong name for the no bakes they are called cow patties! :D So are you doing your mom or dad's sugar cookies?

Ha! Please, Kimberly; we're attempting to be a little civilized here, you know. We hope people will *want* to make these sometime. :)
The sugar cookie war looks as if we're making both, although Mom's are going to have a date filling in them, which sort of changes them from the category of sugar cookies to filled. lol!
Let me know if you'd like anymore recipes...It was great seeing you guys.

Love ya!
