Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

First (and last?) Snowfall of the Season

Last Monday morning we awoke to a winter wonderland!...Well, sort of...a light flurry around here qualifies to be recorded on the calendar. :)  When Johanna woke up, we quickly bundled her up and took her out to enjoy the snow.  We were even able to make her first snowman (which is now stored in the freezer...lol)!  After some freezing minutes, I went back in and Dad went out with her.  Snowball fights (consisting of balled-up slush) finally ended the fun.  By the time our grandmothers got out to the breakfast table, snow was gone, slush was turned to mud, and nothing but a frosty cold day was left to them! -Excepting the cozy fireplace and hot cocoa, that is. :)
