Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

Oodles 'n Doodles

Ah! Here we are at last! A boatload of memories are finally here for your enjoyment.  Life has been good and busy. The grandmas have all been keeping relatively on the healthy side of things.  We are always enjoying their wonderful host of family members and friends who come (and call) so faithfully.  The Lord has truly been good to us in giving our family these sweet, lifelong relationships.  On the school-front (har!har!)lots of grueling work going around here, what with Johanna's exciting kindergartenen studies, Vanessa wrapping up her final year of highschool (coming soon...2012 graduate!), and little ol' me working my way through two CLEP courses (yes, two...could I really truly be multitasking here?! alright now, quit acting so shocked ☺).

Well, a happy Friday and blessed weekend to you all!

À la prochaine!

Guess what the Carpenter crafted for the wee lass??

Ah, yes!  The "big girl" can sleep in her own bed now

"Uh, Mom, excuse me if I'm in any way unnecessarily stating the obvious, but I'm over here, and you're over there.  Do you see a problem with this whole situation?"

Reminiscing (Cara was Johanna's midwife back in her single days ☺)

Ah...baby sounds, baby smells, baby touch...babyness

Then we have our driver-in-training with Mr. Over-Exaggerating Helmet Man

Are you ready for the first splash of the season?

Not a big splash, I know, but it's still filling up.

There she goes!

Why the hat, you ask?
I'll tell you why I wear the hat:
You see, I'm cold, {'tis not a mask}
For when I go to chit 'n chat
My lips become so blue {oh dear!}
They start to shake, start to quiver
But hat has blue lips disappear
It calmed my shiver!

For what thanks can we render to God for you in return for all the joy with which we rejoice before our God on your account? {I Thessalonians 3:9}
