Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

25 Years: The Sequel

After Dad got home from work, Tuesday (and took a shower of course =) we took them into the secluded part of the restaurant (that is, the office) where they dined with soft melodies in the background.  We made up some lasagna, toss salad, garlic bread, and corn on the side, and served sparking juice to toast.

After dinner, we had them "go out on the town" but not to get dessert!  When they came back later, we set up the dining table like this:
It was a busy day for us girlies as we ran around and got all of this done Tue. due to some unexpected delays over the weekend.  We tried to make it special by choosing their wedding colors and the silver for decor.  The punch stands out badly, I know, but it is Dad's favorite (lime sherbet with mountain dew)...besides, we needed something to bring out the green in the leaves... and such...right??

The Cake (for all you cake decorating experts out there, no, we did not even try to make this :)

An anniversary kiss

Cutting the cake

Stuffing the cake...sweetly of course

The throw (ps: Dad announced that he was the dove swooping down...he said if he had to be either of them, that one looked more manly)

The lovely couple...we thought it was so thoughtful for Dad to match Mom...he even wore cologne for the big day!

All in all, the day turned out perfectly.  No mishap or mayhem shadowed our parents' big day, and we only broke a sweat a few times...no, really. =)

Farewell for now, my friends!
