Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

Remember September

"How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, before the sons of men!" {Psalm 31:19}

Grandma Glenys and two of her beautiful daughters

The chef is whipping up a special treat

Flour power

Lookey there! Two fresh loaves of bread, hot out of the oven, baked by Johanna Banana

She's at it again!

Our lovely baker and her chocolate peanut butter cookies

BBQing in the rain? Yup!

Lunch smiles with Grandma Lorry and Jorgie Porgie

We attended a Young Living Essential Oils class taught by Mrs. T.

Mr. T. was showing me the historical sights of Boston

Where there's a baby, Johanna finds it :)

The next week we had a YL class at our home and asked the wonderful Mrs. T. to teach it again

Late night discussions

I think we stayed up until 3am...it was so much fun no one wanted to go to bed!

Grammar lessons on the deck on a frigid day with popcorn = perfect

Hello Mr. Chunky Monkey! Samuel Aaron at your service

Fun times with Johanna and David

Gabriel and Michael could be twins

Hi sweet Elena!

Taking over the slide

Another day, another backyard adventure

I don't think the hammock was the best place to keep from getting wet :)

Run, girl, run!

We celebrated Dad's birthday several months late, but so much was going on in July and August that it worked out perfectly to get some family time in September. We went boating and tubing and had a blast!

Getting all gooped up for a day on the lake

Sunny smiles

The designated drivers

Hang on! Johanna's a crazy driver

Smiles from Mom and Johanna...

...and Vanessa and I

More smiles!

Living on the edge

Getting all decked out for the great plunge

"We have come. We will see. We will conquer."

We've got this!

Nope

Reinforcements are on the way!

Onward ho!

Never be afraid to conquer the waves

Dad's turn

Jumping into the frigid waters

Nothing can stop them

Oh, there's Mom, braving the waves!

Our chauffeurs were ready for anything

The birthday boy himself enjoying his favorite oatmeal cookies

Food + boat = the life

Vanessa and Johanna agree that we need to do this again!

Hello sweet doula baby (who's not so little anymore). We did some organizing with her mommy, getting ready to welcome her baby sister!

Behind the scenes of our annual photo shoot

Smile!

Mrs. Sherry joined us this year

As did Mrs. Patty!

The finished product

This was taken back in May, but you know me, I forgot to share it :)

Playing in the frog fountains

Lorry enjoyed all the excitement

The arboretum didn't have many colors out in September, but it was still lovely

Taking a rest by the ferns

Minivan!

It was cool, there were these misters that sprayed the ferns and it felt like we were in a movie

Forward, march!

Lorry's very good at giving orders and Dad is an obliging gentleman

Two sweet peas

Two jelly beans!
(haha, sorry! I was trying to think of something creative to follow the last comment) :)

Farewell, until we meet again!
