Dad and Mom took a three day getaway for their 27th wedding anniversary this year. May 25th was their actual anniversary, but since Vanessa and I had two doula babies due mid-May and one due early June, they wanted to make sure they were able to get out and celebrate without having to get called while away with the news: "Hurry back! Baby's due!". :D
This year they spent a day at a remote lake about two hours away, and the rest of the time at the Renaissance Hotel. Cool story, when they were checking in and told the manager that they were celebrating their anniversary he bumped their hotel room up, not to just any old suite, but to a Presidential Suite! It had a living room, kitchen and two bathrooms, a hallway, french doors to the gargantuan bedroom and (get this) a board room (although they didn't have too many meetings :).

Dad brought a blow-up mattress for Mom to rest on
Catfish!
They ended up bringing four catfish home, we had quite the nice fish-fry!

And had to add a goofy one of Dad,
posing for the camera (and no, he doesn't blow-dry his hair!)
I will be posting the process of filleting the catfish soon!
