Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

Swingin' into Spring
Dad and Johanna hooked a swing on one of the tree limbs hanging over our fence (you know, one of those that looks like it will fall with the next big wind? Yeah, one of those :). She has been having a blast on that thing, swingin' and singin' and just having a ball!
The Grannies looking on!
Although this isn't the same swing, it is still a swing...
with precious people on it (even if it they aren't swingin' : D).
Aren't you loving Spring?

Happy Retirement Mr. Vic!
We had the pleasure of having Mr. Vic and Mrs. Linda over for dinner and dessert (meatloaf, green beans, sweet potato casserole and brown bag apple pie -- interesting, I know, but yummilicious!).
First, fill it with lots and lots of filling...
...I said lots, didn't I? (recipe courtesy: our guests!)
Lovely Lorry
Dinner conversations
♫...Cinderelly, Cinderelly, Day and night it's Cinderelly...♫
Hugs..
...and smiles
The creation has baked for three hours (yes, I said 3, tres)
The brown bag is ripped from side to side revealing...
Brown Bag Apple Pie! (And it was good, and
crunchy-but-not-too-crunchy-just-a-perfect-compliment-for-the-soft-apples-kind-of-crunchy)
Can you tell it was sugary-good?
For the next five photos, look closely at Mr. Vic as he and Vanessa (who's behind the lens)
try out the continuous shooting mode on the new camera...
So fun! Loved having you two love birds over! Congratulations, Mr. Vic on your retirement! We're looking forward to hearing of all the new things you two will be up to (just no more on-the-edge-of-our-seats Costa Rica jungle adventure stories...for your sake...we loved them : D ).

A Farewell to Friends
Some really good friends from church recently picked up and moved away, so we got together a few days before for dinner, fellowship and play-time. We miss you D. family!
Mr. D. and their oldest son, Kaden
Johanna banana and her friend, Landrey
Two buddies
Big grin from sweet Corban!
"Do you know who that is?"
The lovely Mrs. D. and munchkin Corban
Beautiful smiles from Grandma D and Grandma Junebug
Guy talks...
Say what?!
Can't figure out a good caption for these next two...
...any guesses?
The playmobile corner
Saying goodbye!
I decided to put two pictures of the whole gang,
because Corban and Mr. D. are MIA in the above one...
...and Dad is EAC in this one (if you aren't familiar with my abbreviations,
EAC stands for Eyes Are Closed : D)
We miss you so much D. family! Can't wait to see you all again!

New Camera!
The B. family blessed us girls tremendously with an awesome real, professional camera (Canon EOS Rebel T3 for all you camera nerds) and we have been having a blast with it! It's specifically for our doula business, for birth photography and we were able to use it for two births already! Whoo-hoo! Thank you B. family so, so much!
Here we are, shocked and surprised!
Mr. Gabey-boy
Guess the bib didn't protect his clothes
And guess who had her baby??!!
