Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

à l'examen...in review

February was an exciting month for us, what with Super Bowls, birthdays, Valentine's day,  and the plain good ol' daily happenings in between.  I decided to write one rather long, full-of-pictures post of the whole of the past month rather than a dozen short ones!  Condensed would be the correct word, now wouldn't it?

So, instead of hearing me blabbing away {making an article out of an entry, ahem} please, enjoy the photos.

Taken before the game

Right before Super Bowl day, we realized that Grandma "D" and Grandma June are both originally from the states playing!  So we had fun cheering them on, announcing, "Your team just scored a touchdown!"

After the game ☺

Now, do you recall the snowy first days of February?  Well, it just so happens that my birthday seems to come around that same time each year {well, what do you know? the same day, too!} and my birthday  request was a day at a campsite on the lake.  I believe it got up to 38° that day and, yes, there was still snow on the ground.  But we're a cold-loving type of family, and the frigidness didn't bother us a bit...now the unexpected, inches-deep issue of MUD???  uh, yeah ... but nothing can dampen our fun!

Back at home, Mom created my "birthday cookie", or fruit pizza.
Isn't it beautiful??  It was scrumptious!!

On the 8th of February, my darling sister, Vanessa Elaine, turned 17!  Being the more rational and civilized of the two of us, she wanted to go out to Red Lobster {way warmer in there!} for her birthday dinner.  Always ready me {that is sarcasm, people} did not take the camera.  But trust me, we enjoyed ourselves!
