Welcome! We are a Christian family who cares for elderly individuals in our home. There are so many quotes, stories, and photos that we wanted to share with our precious "Golden Girls'" families, which they could view quicker and could be updated easier on this blog than we would ever have time (and memory!) to share with them personally. We also thought others might enjoy reading and viewing along with the families on this great adventure of their loved ones' golden sunset years. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit with us and "The Grandmas"!

4th of July Party, 2013

It was a hot-wet-licious day and we had a grand ol' time celebrating Independence with so many good friends. Enjoy the happiness!
Junebug and Mrs. Holly doing marathon wordsearch

Social Eaters = snacking + talking

While the boring people were inside keeping cool, those with high energy levels chose to roast and have fun!

Waterballon fight, anyone?

Girls vs. Boys

David and the sparkling clean pool before it turned into a mud bath

Miss Lorna at your service!

Who needs to pay big bucks to go to a waterpark when we can make one ourselves?

Mr. Michael looking concerned about his quiet haven of safety...

...for good reason ;)

Full diaper alert!

The lovely Grandmas enjoyed the busy scene from inside the dry, cool house

"Glad I'm not out there!"

Dad made some slammin' burgers and dogs

Mrs. Teresa's sweet mom was able to join us as well!

Table for thirteen

Wet smiles never looked sweeter :)

Tired and hungry

Don't these pictures remind you of last year's party?

Wait for me!

Let the feasting begin!

Baby Eric woke up!

"Umm, am I really as adorable as people say I am?"

"Whoa! I am!"

Some of the men folk doing what they do best -- eating, not necessarily talking ;)

"It's firework time!"

Who says the floor can't be just as comfortable as a chair?

Baby snuggles with Pauly

Cake pops!

Vanessa did another wonderful job on these addicting little desserts

Junebug eating her homemade vanilla icecream

The busy restaurant

"Can I take your order please?"

"What? Can't we call the stroller a light red instead of pink?"

Two little waitresses serving the poor, homeless mutt

"Apples! Anyone want to buy an apple from a handsome fireman?"

"If you add a donut, Gabey, I'll buy it from you."

"I can do that. Dinner is served!"

Sweet Eric time

Staying so calm as he listened to the commotion

It's so good to fellowship with friends

Poor Bella. She will never forget the July 4th that we left her outside while we went to the firework show. Somehow she got out of the backyard and wandered the crazy, busy streets! We searched all over for her that night and the next day a neighbor a subdivision away brought her home to us. Poor dear.

I'm a dingle dangle scarecrow with some flippy floppy ears, I can shake my hands like this and shake my feet like that! (does that ring a bell, Reading Eggs people?)

Little Michael was beginning to look sweepy

Candace, is that your twin grandmother?

Junebug and Mr. C enjoying the chaos as all the little ones are readied to head out the door

(Camera phone pictures alert)
On our way!

"Is there room for me?"

Smiling even through the heat and mosquitoes

The ladies were excited to see the fireworks
